Before I shed my preliminary coat of natal down, all young Manitobalings are born with it to protect them from the harsh winter frost and camouflage themselves before they’re physically capable enough to ward off predators.

To be honest, I don’t really remember volunteering. I was a very emotionally volatile child with horrible mood swings so I must’ve been throwing a tantrum before this photo was taken. HAHA ;;;~
